From Home Care to Licensed Skilled Nursing
Gelin Home Care Services started where most families start: needing a hand with bathing, meals, housekeeping, and the long hours nobody should sit through alone. For years we provided that non-medical support across Florida and learned something our clinicians repeat often — the caregiver in the home is usually the first person to notice that something has changed.
Now licensed to provide skilled nursing, we bring Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists into the same homes. Wound care, IV therapy, medication management, catheter and feeding tube care, post-hospital recovery, and rehabilitation are delivered under a physician-approved plan of care — while the personal care, companionship, and homemaking families relied on us for continue right alongside it.

Our Value
Clinical Standards We Do Not Bend On
Skilled care is only as good as the standards behind it. Every clinician we send holds a current Florida licence or certification and is interviewed, reference checked, and background screened before a single visit. Care is delivered under a written, physician-approved plan of care, documented at every visit, and supervised by our Director of Nursing. Infection control, medication safety, and fall prevention are practised the same way in a private home as they are in a hospital.
None of that replaces the human part: clients are addressed by name, asked before they are touched, covered when they are exposed, and listened to when they say something feels wrong.
Vision
A Florida where a serious diagnosis, a hospital discharge, or a hard recovery does not automatically mean a nursing facility. We want skilled nursing and therapy to be something families can arrange in a day, delivered in the living room, by people they trust.
Mission
To deliver licensed skilled nursing, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and personal care in the home — safely, on time, and documented — so clients recover where they are most comfortable and families finally get to go back to being family.
Goals
Keep clients out of avoidable hospital readmissions. Start care quickly after a referral or discharge. Send the same familiar clinicians rather than a rotating cast. Answer the phone with a nurse, day or night. And measure our work by whether clients get stronger, safer, and more independent at home.
Who Comes Through Your Door
Your plan of care decides the mix. Most clients see a combination of the roles below, coordinated by one case manager so nobody has to repeat themselves.
Registered Nurses & LPNs
Assessments, wound care, IV therapy, injections, catheter and tube care, medication management, and clinical judgement when something changes.
Physical, Occupational & Speech Therapists
Licensed therapists who rebuild strength and balance, retrain daily activities, and treat speech, cognition, and swallowing difficulty.
Home Health Aides & CNAs
Bathing, grooming, dressing, transfers, and mobility help — supervised by our nurses and reporting into the same plan of care.
Companions & Homemakers
Meals, light housekeeping, laundry, errands, transportation, and the company that keeps a long day from feeling longer.
